Position: Launch Director

Job
Description: Must have good people skills and be physically able to
walk quickly for approximately one hour per session. With training, you become
our “Air Traffic Controller”. Your job, under the direction of the Chief Launch
Director, is to insure each balloon launches safely and that the Powered
Paragliders and the Air Force Wings of Blue has a “sterile” area to operate as
per our guidelines. Launch Directors are
called “Parrotheads”, have fun and help us maintain our safety record.

Age
Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.

Dress
Code: We have a fun dress code
for this one – a Hawaiian theme! Details are outlined in the Launch Director’s
Agreement.

Benefits:
Form must be submitted by July 20th to receive benefits.
o
Name listed in the Official Souvenir Program as
a Volunteer.
o
Volunteer Parking Pass & Volunteer Name Badge
(can be picked up on Friday night).
o
Certificate of Participation can be issued after
the event if requested prior to Oct.15th.
o
You are invited to attend the “Get Acquainted
Reception” as our guest on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the headquarters hotel once
you are dismissed by your Leadership Team Member.
o
Plus other items as outlined in the Launch
Director’s Training Manual and Agreement.
